Metaphysical: Spirits/Ghosts (Part 3)

By Paula Bianchi –

As you read this, you may feel a compulsion to leave, or hear an inner voice telling you not to read this. If so, then you’re the one I’m writing this for. Keep reading till the end of the article. You may find what you’ve been looking for to make your life better.

In part 2 of this 3-part series, I covered why a spirit chooses to remain earthbound, and I listed all the different places, pretty much everywhere, they like to haunt. So many spirits choose to stay here, and while most never interact with the living, there is a percentage who choose to make themselves known, or they desire to attach to you because of like energy (a shared trauma), or they feel like they can help you with your problems. There are some spirits who attach to us at the moment we’re born and can remain with us throughout our entire lifetime.

It’s not uncommon for us to have more than one attachment during our lives. You can have 5 spirits attached to you right now and not even know it. When you compound that with the possibility that these spirits may have attachments of their own, you can double, triple, or quadruple the number of spirits attached to you. How do these spirits attach to us?

We all emit our own personal energy field known as an Aura. As we live our lives, we can be subjected to horrible traumas. Things like rape, sexual abuse, and molestation can severely damage our auras causing rips or tears in them which give these spirits a hole through which they can attach to us. For example: A five-year-old girl sits alone in a park trying to escape her father, who just raped her, and her heart is full of despair. A female spirit, who haunts the park, experienced the same thing during her lifetime. She can feel the energy of this little girl. She wants to comfort and take care of her and make her stronger, so she attaches herself to the little girl, but when she does, she also brings with her all the traumas she’s been fighting which could overwhelm a small child.

We open ourselves to attachments by indulging in our addictions to: drugs, alcohol, food, sex, and even cigarettes and coffee, which weaken our auras, so when we visit a bar, our drug dealer, or a house of ill repute, the spirits who reside there and wish to continue with their addictions, can attach to your like energy. These spirits can make it impossible to kick your addiction because they don’t want you to quit no matter how much trouble your addiction has gotten you into. They will always influence you to continue.

Accidents or illnesses open us up to attachments during our weaken state. A spirit can attach to you at the site of your accident or at the hospital where you’re healing from surgery. A sign that this may have happened to you is if you keep hearing things like, “He’s changed since his accident,” or “She never used to act that way before her operation.” When we elect to have surgery or have to have emergency surgery, we’re at risk of an attachment from anesthesia.

Anyone who suffers from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) may be open to spiritual attachments. Watching the deaths of those you care about, or even those you don’t know, leaves a terrible mark on our soul, and a rip in our aura giving easy access to any wandering spirit who decides to call you home.

When we lose our family members or friends, they may choose not to leave attaching themselves to whomever misses them the most or staying because of their house or possessions. Some may wish to go but end up being stuck here because of our grief for them. We can keep them here if we’re in a constant state of grief and won’t let them go.

If you have a tear in your auric field, the simple act of working in, or visiting, or even passing by, a place where people have died, increases your chances of spiritual attachment. So how can we protect ourselves?

First, take a moment to see if you’re suffering from any of the symptoms of attachment. Have you ever had any of the following symptoms?

  • Excessive use of drugs, alcohol, cigarettes
  • Obsessive cravings for sweets or food
  • Anxiety, fears, phobias
  • Sudden loss of will
  • Memory problems
  • Mood swings
  • Lack of concentration
  • Inappropriate behavior or speech
  • Violent behavior
  • Lack of energy
  • Unexplained physical ailments, even mild ones
  • Disturbing thoughts or urges
  • Being told you’re acting just like a dead relative
  • Thoughts or behavior that are unlike you
  • Obsessive, compulsive behavior
  • Blackouts or lost time
  • Negative inner dialog or thoughts
  • Attempted suicide
  • Having difficulty reading this article

If you’ve suffered from any of these symptoms, you may not be alone in your own skin. You may even be hearing things like; “This stuff is all crap. Stop reading this shit.” The inner dialog in your head may not be yours alone, and you need to question it if it’s trying to keep you from reading this because they don’t want you to learn how to get rid of them. The good news is you can.

I found two very good books on this subject: “Earthbound Spirits Are Attached to You, How You Can Remove Them” by George Schwimmer Ph.D. and “Entity Removal, Self-Help Procedure, The ABC of Releasing Spirit Attachments for Do-It Yourselfers” by Rise’ Harrington and Bryan Jameison Dorgeck. There are many great books out there, but I liked these. Both books explain ways to release these spirits that anyone can do for themselves. It’s simpler than you may think. The key is you have to want them to go. Sometimes we may hold on to them because they did give you some kind of comfort or help along the way. Getting these kinds of spirits to leave, will be more challenging, but the ones who are holding you back or hurting you, need to go right now.

How can we prevent these spirits from attaching to us? Just like we need to take care of our bodies with diet and exercise, we also need to care for our Auras. Our first step is to heal any traumas we may have suffered in our past. Seek out professional help because it’s so hard trying to fix it by ourselves. During the course of our treatment as we get stronger, our spirit attachments may choose to leave. Why? Because through our healing, our energy rises and no longer matches our hitch hiker’s.

Take control of your body by quitting the addictions that are holding you back and ruining your life. You may have to be stern with your spirit attachments by telling them you’re really quitting this time. You’ll no longer let them influence you to keep using. This can literately be a war in your head. Stand your ground, and don’t give in. Once they see you mean business and you’re quitting, they’ll leave to find another addict to attach to.

Meditate at least 5 mins a day. This is your way of taking control of your own thoughts and feelings which will help you sort out which thoughts are yours and which ones aren’t. It raises your energy causing the rips and tears in your aura to heal. Pick three power words or a phrase and repeat it over and over as you pay attention to your breath. You can recite a prayer to yourself. When unwanted thoughts float in, just push those thoughts away as you continue focusing on your words, phrase, or prayers.

The most important thing you need to ask for and visualize as you meditate, is to be surrounded by the white light of the Holy Spirit. Picture yourself in a bubble of bright white light and ask for protection from all those who mean you harm, also ask for protection from harming yourself or you harming others. (I do this every morning before I get out of bed or at night before I fall asleep.)

Well that pretty much covers it. If you wanted to stop reading this but pushed through to the end, you just took your first step towards releasing your attachments. Remember, this is “your” life. You should have full control over it. Where your thoughts go; your energy flows.

In my next metaphysical article, I’ll talk more about the positive effects of meditation. Thanks for sharing your time with me. Bye for now.

  1. I just read through your article. Anxiety is something I have a challenge dealing with. I am currently seeking professional support which helps me so much. It’s much better to talk it out with someone other than a friend or family member to help you. They know the tools. I also meditate everyday and I channeled my white light last night while I was doing an oracle card reading. So far, I’m doing much better than I did last week. My aura had been weakened last week by a person who did not serve me. I used up all my strength to cut them off. It was exhausting.

      1. Exactly. It is a healing process right now. But I’m gradually getting back on track to my happy place. I feel a bit stronger when I’m in it. And I continue to keep living and loving
